Part II of the YMI denim guide series, part I (seen here) I tackled styling a look around boy cut jeans which I turned into bf styled.  For the second round, I selected a pair of acid wash skinny jeans which adds a little flare to your regular washed jeans.  This style in particular has been coined — WannaBettaButt — it’s all about the booty (and who doesn’t like that) this fit is about two things: the fit around your butt and comfort.   Two things that woman look for all in one pair!

I say this often, it’s all in the details, whether statement or more subtle.  I personally love a piece of jewelry that is simple enough to make a statement, so I have been gravitating more towards dainty styles and of course, pearl details.  Such a feminine piece to play up a super casual look and completing my color with a fall colored structured bag.  Every detail counts, after all, that is what makes a look.

Fall days.. Fall colors.. this is my favorite season and kick off to my absolutely favorite time of the year! I felt this knit dress layered with a faux fur vest and rust color hat was so fall appropriate and clearly it was since I matched with the outdoor colors.

Who says you need to cost a fortune to pull of a decent or fashionable look? I honestly see no need to, yes, it is splurge on things, certain things.. for me one of things happens to be shoes (it’s sickness, I’m addicted).  It’s all about having that eye for what you like and knowing how to turn something that may have not cost much to appear as it does!  My clients hire me to do just that and just that is what I do :) As for this navy trench coat, I find myself stocking up on trench styled items in different colors this season, a simple and versatile garment which is what I look for when adding to my wardrobe and to top off the look for me, I always like to add something a little unexpected .. so a pop of color and my fave accessory, faux fur! How to own your look and make it work for you!

Happy Wednesday!

First off, I can’t express how much I love an all nude look! I have been dying to create a head-to-toe outfit but was missing the final touch to my look .. the coat.  I am madly in love with this camel coated beauty — clean and simple.  Done and done.  A camel coat adds so much versatility to your wardrobe, dressing it up is easy but I’m already thinking about pairing with some boyfriend denim and a tee for a more casual look.  I feel everyone should add at least one to their fall/winter wardrobe.  When accessorizing, your add on’s can either make or break your look.  The pearl additions add that feminine dainty touch with a pop of unexpected color in the cranberry leather/black patent leather bag (designed by my sister, you can check out more of her designs, here).  When accessorizing in fall I look for those pieces that can simply add a little character to your look without overshadowing it, then layer them.  Layering doesn’t necessarily only apply to clothing.  Get creative and make your pieces stand out through your layers!

Colors vs Neutrals

ASOS sweatshirt | Nastygal skirt | H&M belt (alternative) | Love Cortnie bag | Missguided boots c/o (alternative navy option) | Boohoo sunglasses | MAC ‘Cyber‘ lipstick

Casual sweatshirts are kind of my go to casual tops for fall/winter, taking place of my white tee’s since the shorter sleeves won’t cut it alone.  So of course I have been stocking up in all colors and I love the cropped fit, perfect for me!  These days, I find myself gravitating more towards neutral tones, I won’t buy something if it’s a color (as of late) .. which is odd but I could not resist this skirt BUT because it was so many different colors, I had to throw in neutrals to complete this look.

Outerwear Updates

H&M jacket, jeans, top, faux fur stole c/o | Aldo bag (alternative and next on my list) | Antipodium shoes (also available in red and gray) | Ray ban sunglasses | MAC ‘Viva Glam 2‘ lipstick

If there is one thing we all do each year is prep our wardrobe for upcoming seasons, key pieces that I look for when updating for fall and winter are: outerwear and accessories.  While we’re all so busy worried about layering and keeping warm, outerwear and supporting accessories are what help to polish off your look especially because those are the main pieces you see on top of all the layers.  Leather jackets are a good transitional piece as we exit summer and slide into fall since the temps are still fairly a little warm, I look to my leather jackets to throw on and go, so this H&M jacket was a no brainer. You will also see a bevy of faux fur stoles, scarfs and snoods throughout the season — they are a quick and easy way to make a casual look more chic and paired with your jacket looks like an attached collar, adds something different to your look.  You’ll see a variety of leather jackets and faux fur things in many colors this season!
